Marmaduke sprang into our lives in June 2001, with a nip on the neck for his new Mummy and a wander around his new home, just to make sure everything was up to scratch. The bed looked big and the food cupboard plentiful. It was acceptable. A true friend and companion to us all not only in happy times but also when we’ve been upset or stressed. He would always come running to make sure we were fine, concern on his beautiful face. Hearing his happy purrs as he snuggled up on our laps or perhaps laid on our heads (!) was truly a wonderful thing. Marmaduke also loved Maximus and Morgana, his partners in kitty crime. Big snuggles with Maxi have been a highlight of his life and kitten chases with Morgana helped keep him young. Mercifully, he was sprightly almost until the end, and in spite of his obvious illness, he still gave Mummy and Daddy big loving purrs and little head rubs. Marmaduke, you will be missed more than words can ever say, and when we reach the Rainbow Bridge we’ll be looking for you. Sleep well, Big Boy, Marmalicious, darling Marmy Marms, until we meet again.
